Megan McCormick is a presenter of the adventure travel series TV Shows: Trotamundos (Latin American), Mochileiros (Brazil), Globe Trekker  (formerly known as Lonely Planet), a  production of Pilot Film & Television Productions in association with WETA Washington, D.C. (USA), and Sea Nation for the Discovery Channel.

Megan's travels are a true adventure and very entertaining. She always has a fun time; she rides an elephant, she dives, she feeds crocodiles, she eats ants ... WOW!

She narrates and also participates in regional life, sharing information on history and culture, and also giving us fun suggestions of things to do. She dives, she rides, she walks on trails, she meets locals, she visits monuments and she tries exotic food - some of which are quite horrible! We can see her pleasures and horrors close to the camera as she laughs, screams and shouts!

Her new Tv Show Sea Nation follows Megan McCormick as she takes a leap of faith into the unknown, leaving comfort and security of routine life behind to travel by boat across the Caribbean, seeking extraordinary people and stories that redefine and challenge conventional ways of thinking.

Megan McCormick was raised in sunny Florida, and graduated from Boston University with a bachelor's degree in philosophy and political science.

Before joining the Globe Trekker team, Megan worked as an English teacher in Japan, a social worker, and behind the scenes on "The News with Brian Williams" for MSNBC. Megan's credentials include extensive independent travel in Asia and Europe. She's visited Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, China, Inner Mongolia, France, Belgium, England, Ireland, Java and Sumatra.

"I'm not an actress," she says, "I heard about Globe Trekker from a friend who is an actor. It sounded like a dream job."

She has not been disappointed - Globe Trekker has taken Megan to many places including India, Hawaii, Egypt, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Micronesia and the Arab Gulf (Source: pilotguides.com).
